Asbestos Courses
Asbestos Worker Initial Course (32-hr) $445.00 (includes $45 filing fee)This 32-hour initial course is designed for persons involved with abatement of asbestos. It includes classroom and hands-on instruction. Topics include history of asbestos, health effects, medical surveillance, personal protective equipment, negative pressure systems, glove bag operation and proper abatement practices and procedures.
This course is approved by the State of Washington’s Labor and Industries and meets the Occupational Safety Health Administrations (OSHA) Class I Work and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Asbestos Schools Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA) training requirements for asbestos work.

Asbestos Worker
Refresher Course (8-hr) $230.00 (includes $45 filing fee)
This 8-hour refresher course is designed for persons involved with abatement of asbestos.
It includes classroom and hands-on instruction. Topics include history of asbestos, health
effects, medical surveillance, personal protective equipment, negative pressure systems,
glove bag operation and proper abatement practices and procedures.

Initial Course (40-hr) $615.00 (includes $65 filing fee)
This course meets the state of Washington’s requirements to
supervise asbestos work site activities. This course covers effective
supervision techniques, specification and contract documents, insurance
and bonding, regulatory recordkeeping and supervision of abatement work
site activities. A hands-on exercise allows the student to put into
practical application the topics he has learned in the course. The
course features presentations of new developments in government
regulations and current state-of-the-art work practices.

Refresher Course (8-hr) $250.00 (includes $65 filing fee)
This 8-hour course meets the AHERA requirements to recertify
supervisors of asbestos work site activities. This course revisits
effective supervision techniques, specification and contract documents,
insurance and bonding, regulatory recordkeeping and supervision of
abatement work site activities. The course features presentations of new
developments in government regulations and current state-of-the-art work
practices.
